101 - Cardiff 's Single Non-Emergency Number
A new number is now available for the people of Cardiff to report problems that affect their neighbourhood or community.
A partnership service, provided by Cardiff Council and South Wales Police, offers an easy to remember number that allows people living in the city to report incidents of:
• vandalism and graffiti
• drunken and rowdy behaviour
• broken street lighting
• drugs related anti-social behaviour
• abandoned vehicles
• dumping and fly tipping
• noisy neighbours and loud parties
• intimidation and harassment
Cardiff is one of only five areas in Britain chosen to pilot the '101' service, with national roll-out of Single Non-Emergency Number scheduled for 2008. Other areas to pilot the scheme are Hampshire, Northumbria, Sheffield and Leicester.
